Me in the world

Over the past decade, my camera has been my constant companion, capturing countless photographs. These images are more than just records of light and shadow; they are my way of observing the world, a bridge for dialogue between myself and reality. Every time I press the shutter, it is an act of contemplation, a means of exploring my own understanding.

At first, the camera was merely my eyes, helping me freeze fleeting moments. Later, it became my language, allowing me to express emotions and convey thoughts in silence. I began to focus on individuals in crowds, hidden corners of cities, the traces left by history, and the truths deliberately obscured. My lens became a tool for finding order in chaos, capturing silence in noise, and seeking truth in spaces of taboo.

From the streets to galleries, from China to overseas, my work has moved through different spaces. I use photography to engage in social discussions, to unveil stories that are often left in the shadows. Through this process, I have come to realize that photography is not just about seeing, it is about participating, about taking action. It can amplify unheard voices, bring forgotten stories back to life, and provide an outlet for repressed emotions.

Over time, my photography has shifted from merely capturing what I see to expressing what I think. I have begun experimenting with new ways of presentation, exploring the relationship between images and politics, pushing beyond traditional aesthetic boundaries to turn my work into a catalyst for thought. Photography is not just an art form—it is an attitude, a responsibility, a means of engaging with the world.

And in these images, I have slowly found my place.
